Nordeck Apartments, a 6-building cooperative on the Rockaway Peninsula, obtained funding from NYC Housing Recovery's Build It Back Program for a major capital improvement program after sustaining damage during Hurricane Sandy.
Exterior elevation and sidewalk repairs in all building entrances. Removed and repaired cracked, spalled, or otherwise defective exterior brickwork.
Window replacement program involved installation of new energy efficient, fire-rated, and hurricane-grade window assemblies. Defective fire escape railings were replaced for all six buildings.
Installation of new ADA-compliant concrete walkway and service ramp.
