Energy Audits & LEED Certification
To help buildings improve their energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, Rand performs energy audits in accordance with Building Performance Institute and ASHRAE standards. A Rand team surveys the building's conditions, systems, and components, identifying operating and maintenance measures for better energy performance and increased savings. Based on our findings, Rand prepares an Energy Analysis Report that includes a recommended scope of work for improving energy efficiency and management with estimates of potential costs and savings.
As a partner in NYSERDA's Multifamily Performance Program, Rand works with participating buildings to help them obtain funding for implementing energy-efficient measures and systems. In addition, Rand assists clients seeking LEED Certification for new construction and building rehabilitation projects, which qualifies owners and developers for tax rebates, zoning allowances, and other incentives.
