Replacement of 1,397 windows in 377 window openings with new
casement, fixed sash, and picture replacement windows at
all apartments, and new projecting replacement windows at the
basement level.
Single-paned, steel casement windows replaced with thermally
insulated aluminum units for better thermal and acoustical performance.
Heat-reflecting film on south- and west-facing windows to reduce
heat and glare.
Putty-gray color at the inside of the windows to soften the
interior appearance of the black frames while preserving the original
architectural look.
To comply with the Health Department’s Window Falls Program,
the replacement windows have built-in stops, eliminating the need
for traditional window guards with their prison-bar appearance.
